Healing With Spiritual Sign Language To Find Peace and Joy

Many times you know you are feeling “off” and sometimes you have some sense of what is seemingly causing that unwelcomed feeling. But often you feel stuck and want that overwhelming feeling to go away, yet you don’t know how. Additionally, when you feel this way it can be a sign that you lack or crave a deeper spiritual connection.

Witnessing this human experience in both myself and my coaching clients, I noticed a few patterns that I want to share with you, in hopes that it will bring you peace of mind and trust that everything is okay.

Interestingly enough, I always use the body as my messenger, and this specific”aha moment” came about when my friend and I were discussing a situation where she was feeling disempowered.

During a conversation about a stressful situation, we both pointed our fingers, yet they didn’t look the same. What I share next is the unraveling that the conversation brought forth.
I share this information, in the hope, it will help you to have your aha moment, feel more empowered, and manifest what you want!

The truth is, we can all use some help creating calm and balance, and this understanding of
“spiritual sign language” is a step in the right direction.

Spiritual Meaning of Each Finger

Metaphorically speaking, your fingers & thumb
represent a “Spiritual Sign Language”

If you are familiar with Yoga, you may notice different hand positions where the thumb touches one of the other fingers. In yoga, these hand placements are Mudras. ‘Mudra’, a Sanskrit word, means a symbolic hand gesture that has the power to produce joy and happiness.

Although I use Yoga as one of my lifestyle practices, I am not versed in all of its nuances. However, I realize that some of the hand gestures we use in everyday life connect to the mudras in Yoga. Therefore, this connection inspires the thoughts I share.

3 Simple & Powerful Hand Gestures

Gyana represents knowledge and wisdom. It is very much the modern-day sign for “okay.” When you bring cosmic connection with individual consciousness, your mind, body, and self-expression align.
Pretty powerful, right?

Prana is the vital life force within all living things. This mudra will help awaken and enliven your energy and put you more in tune with the energetic forces around you. Notice how this hand position resembles the “peace” sign.” When you bring cosmic connection with your physical awareness and self-expression, you can have peace of mind and be at peace with others.

Varun or Buddhi Mudra is for mental clarity. Connecting your self-expression, the essence of who you are in truth, with your cosmic connection is the only way to co-create the life that you are meant to have. If you seek to speak and live your truth this hand position represents all things being aligned.

How can you use this in your day-to-day life?

  • Whether you practice Yoga or not, this can be easily implemented into your daily habits. Just being aware of your hand gestures is a powerful start & here are some intentional ways to use this information:
  • Be mindful of holding your hand in a fist or pointing with your thumb down
  • When resting try to place your hands in any of the open positions
  • Place your hands in any of these positions when doing a mindfulness exercise or meditation
  • Anchor your visualizations by placing your hands in one of these mudras
  • Anchor your positive affirmations by holding hands in one of the empowering positions

When you place your fingers in these positions you may notice that your fingers are stiff and may even hurt a bit when trying to hold one of these “spiritual sign language positions.” I believe this is symbolic that you need to stretch and exercise that spiritual muscle a little more. Notice which position is more difficult and massage and stretch those fingers. You can self-reflect on what may be going on that is contributing to that resistance. For reference, use the hand diagram above.

How can this help you with manifesting what you want?

To transform your life you must manifest something new. Manifesting requires co-creation with a life force greater than you or I. But people tackle it like it is a goal and apply the typical self-help suggestions to achieve it.

Although there are similarities, there are distinct differences. Those who are truly abundant in all areas of their life and live in a balanced way know this difference. If you want to be successful yourself, you want to tap into the same flow that other successful people are.

The secret sauce is that they know they can’t do it alone and align with a greater force. They have mastered truly working with the cosmic energy that is the giver of all life. They have learned to connect within to align with this co-creative force.

Steps for Manifesting With Greater Ease

  • Focus on what you want
  • Anchor it with emotions, affirmations, and visions of how awesome achieving feels
  • Be mindful of what is showing up in your experiences
  • If you see evidence of the old belief, release it, and go back to the first step
  • Keep an attitude of gratitude for everything you are experiencing- good & bad
